I’m Emily Mahaney. I’m a content strategist and editorial director with 15 years of experience at digital media startups and mass media brands, from Glamour (Condé Nast) to Katie Couric Media and Yahoo News. 

Most recently, I served as Editorial Director, Newsletters at Yahoo News, where I directed the transformation of the newsletter portfolio. Previously, I worked as an Executive Producer for The Meteor, a mission-driven media startup, where I led the brand's flagship conference, while also consulting for non-media brands on content strategy.

Earlier in my career, I was Chief Content Officer at Katie Couric Media, where I launched and scaled new editorial products and franchises, Deputy Editor at Damn Joan, a short-lived experimental new media brand, and Features Director at Glamour, where I produced top-performing exclusives and directed editorial programming for Women of the Year Live.

I hold a B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication from Iowa State University, and I live in Brooklyn, New York.
