I am an Editorial Director at Yahoo, leading newsletter strategy and growth across News, Entertainment, Life and Commerce through massive transformation under Apollo.

Before Yahoo, I was Chief Content Officer for Katie Couric Media, Deputy Editor at Damn Joan — one of those short-lived media start-ups ahead of its time, may it RIP! — and Features Director for Glamour.

In 2015, I was named a Rising Star by Folio. Earlier in my career, I worked at InStyle, Midwest Living and Teen. (I built quizzes for Teen.com in 2008. Peaked early!)

In times when I’ve needed a little break from the media grind (it happens!), I’ve consulted on content strategy for media start-ups, Fortune 500s and nonprofits.

I grew up in rural Iowa, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude from Iowa State University and live in Brooklyn, New York. I subscribe to the “I tried my best today, and I’ll try again tomorrow” philosophy.
